“ My 1st visit and I enjoyed my appetizer and pizza. Burrata app was fantastic! Pizza points were crispy and the tomatoes yummy. I surfed my own wave with a 12inch red sauce meatball ricotta mushroom olive pizza. Plenty of food for 2 of us. My favorite was the drink selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks. I tried a taste of 21 Ammendment beer, Cider and a Pinot Noir. There was also a soda station with lemonade and ice tea. Great guys behind the counter with their service and cooking skills I look forward to coming back for Happy Hour Wednesdays PS They need a kids menu please. ”
“ Absolute fire. This location is always on point. Pizza is so good. My favorite is the deep dish and calzones. Best calzones I've had since being on the west coast. Lunch is the best time to get a good bite and great beer ”
“ Love this place! You get to pour your own beer and taste a variety of them! The wings were huge and flavorful! The Spicy Thai was my fave! Not too spicy but definitely rich in yummiliciousness! For pizzas, we got all artisan and it was hard to pick the best one cos they were all great. The crust had the right amount of crunch and softness. And definitely the Bacon and Blue salad! We didn't have to wait too long for the food. Service was good, everybody was helpful and nice, and love the place, wide and open, not cramp. Restrooms were stocked and clean. I definitely recommend this place! ”
“ We visit Pinon's frequently and the Friday after Thanksgiving was the first time we moved the party over to Longboards for dinner afterwards. Surprisingly, not a large crowd at all. Grab menus, take a seat and order at the counter. The servers bring your pizza/food to you when it's ready. DH loved the meatballs and added a small salad. I (and our guests) ordered the Detroit pizza. I haven't had such a good Detroit-style piza since leaving the Detroit area in the 1980s! Great tasting dough, thick crust, cheesy edges, perfectly sauced. Ordered the pizza with meatballs, onions and parm and is was perfect. Left-overs the next day were terrific cold. The tap/pour your own drink system is great for tasting. Also great for pouring exactly the amount you want. There were a great selection of beers, a couple of wines, and also pre-mixed cocktails -- which we will try next visit. Kind of a fast-food atmosphere, but the food is very good and we will definitely return to try the thin crust pizza. ”
“ This business did what they could to accommodate our large crowd for a graduation party. My son's wife graduated UNR with her PhD and we wanted to celebrate. They gave us three tables in the back corner, and it was a little tight for 40 people, some kids, but we made it work. Some of the crowd got there early and ordered full meals off the menu. When we arrived and our son, he got the biggest pizzas for the crowd and drinks. Since this was in the afternoon it worked well because we were not disturbing the supper crowd. We tried the salads, pizza, calzones, and sandwiches. I like that the calzones were baked crispy, and they are huge. Some of the pizzas had lots of red sauce poured over the top of the toppings, that was not the best presentation and quite messy. Everything tasted good except it was a bit salty. Our crowd had a good time, and we never felt rushed. They even allowed us to bring in our own desserts as the kids love cupcakes. We were there to celebrate Heather and her huge accomplishment and the fact she was the top student in her nursing studies. It is good to know that this spot is available for parties. We really enjoyed visiting. One suggestion would be: don't clear the tables until the group leaves the restaurant. The back table was cleared, and drinks were taken when people were still using the cups. Kids eat a little at a time and went back for more bites, but plates were gone. Try the pizzas, they are artesian and quite good. Thanks for allowing our large group to hang out in the back. ”
“ Great place to go watch football on a Sunday, as long as you are good with no sound. This place does get busy fast on the weekends. Because it's family friendly, it fills up with kids after sports games. Also, because of the long tables, when it does get busy, don't be surprised when a bunch of children sit next to you. Overall though, the pizza is good. The ingredients are noticeably fresh tasting compared to other pizza places. I love the ability to self pour beer - they had a good selection of beers to choose from. The restaurant was very clean and organized and the staff were very friendly. ”
“ Longboards has a neat setup with the ample seating (indoor and out) along with the self-serve beer wall. The spot has ample room to drag in a decent size party to enjoy themselves. Prior to visiting I did not realize they are apparently a Golden Valley staple but I'm pleased none the less to have them join the South Reno gang. I gave the Pipeline Pizza (white sauce, chicken, artichoke) a go and it was a good eat along with a side of wings that were good sized and respectably seasoned. I could definitely see myself enjoying the finer weather with a slice and pint over the summer. ”
“ OMG, so good, the Sweet Pig pizza: Sweet Baby's Chili Sauce (Base) / Shredded Mozzarella / Slow Roasted Pulled Pork / Roasted Garlic Cloves / Pineapple / Red Onion / Green Onions I love the chili sauce which puts an unexpected "bite" into the pizza. Pork is tender. Roasted garlic cloves are not to overwhelming. Crust is deep and fluffy and cheese is cheesy...Deliciousness at it's best. I highly recommend. Great that it is almost at my doorstep which is a plus for us South Renoites! ”
